ROTC is one of the largest sources from where almost all arms of the defense forces in the United States recruit their future officers. In fact Air Force ROTC is the largest source for commissioned officers in the Force.

ROTC is present in many colleges and campuses across the country. The United States Marines also has many colleges, which have ROTC on their panel. Many employers especially from Fortune 500 companies and federal departments like to hire ROTC graduates.

It is an educational program, which helps the students to undergo military type training with college electives. Many colleges and campuses across United States offer these courses. Both men and women are encouraged to join ROTC and from these come many brilliant men and women who are adept at leadership skills, quick thinking and ability to adapt and survive in hostile conditions.

A number of graduates are enrolled into the Marines and the marine reserve. Thus they don’t have to look too far for jobs or do an intensive job search.

The course teaches young men and women skills in leadership, team building, and utilizing common sense and in every way teaches them to take on responsibility. They lead soldiers into both war and peace zones keeping our internal and external borders safe.

They can be easily assimilated into the various defense services such as the marine reserve, The Army, The Air Force and The Navy. These are all federal jobs and therefore have excellent opportunities. All federal jobs that are termed as defense services come under the Department of Defense.
